The other puppies in my class are not even half my size. As a consequence, my daddy always has a firm hold of me because he is afraid I will accidentally injure the other puppies. It is not fun because instead of giving it all I’ve got and going in for the kill, I always have to temper my strength.
Also, there is an expectation for bravery if you are big. What if you are really just a puppy inside? Like the Cowardly Lion I become an object of ridicule whenever I am afraid.
And I am not even done growing yet.
