A Very Long Day

Pride cometh before a fall – Proverbs 16:18.

I think my humans are trying to get back at me for being so cocky about how I have them well trained. They decided I should go to obedience school!

But even before school started my mom had me running errands with her so I could get used to being on busy streets. Then my dad and I took my mom to work, and they made me come inside and say hi to everybody. I must admit that the more I go to my mom’s place of work, I am feeling more and more at home there. The people there are nice.

At least they let me take a nap for an hour, then it was time to go to work again, meet different people, and pick my mom up. You would have thought they would think that I had had enough for the day. NO. We still had to go to Puppy Class. I really really did not want to go. It was in this big noisy, unfamiliar place, and I was really very scared. My dad had to carry me inside.

I don’t even know if it is worth the trouble and the expense. My dad talked to the trainer mostly. Thereafter, it was just a lot of gesticulating. At least I was given a lot of treats. Maybe just for that I might give it another try.

Life Lesson: Sometimes, even if you think you know so much you do not need it, it is beneficial to sit in a class and learn.
